Competition Rules

Each match is to be played as per the Humber Squash format. i.e. The best of five games, American scoring.

Each round is to be played by the date indicated. Dates will be strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of the player named in the top part of each draw (the challenger) to challenge, and make arrangements, to play the player in the lower part of the draw (opponent) directly below.

If the challenger fails to challenge their opponent by the date indicated, then the opponent will automatically go through to the next round.

If an attempt is made by the challenger to arrange a match and the opponent fails to play (after two attempts) then the challenger will automatically go through.

The two players who successfully reach the final round of the competition must make arrangements to be available on the date indicated. This is a fixed date which has already been pre-booked by the club.

All players knocked out in the first round will automatically be entered into the ‘Plate’ competition providing they actually took part in a first round match. The plate draw will be displayed on the notice board shortly after the first round completion date.

In any event, the competition organiser’s decision is final.

Would all players please make every effort to arrange and/or play their games! This is vital for the competition to be a success.

See you in the final!
